What does "Add a contact" mean?

Call them contacts. Call them friends. Call them whatever. This feature is all about getting creative people like you to make connections, share ideas, and maybe even collaborate with like-minded folk. Just poke around the site. When you see a profile page of a fellow artist or member that piques your interest, click on their "Add As Contact" button. Viola! They're your newest buddy. The relationship is one-way unless they also decide to add you. To break-up with them, just click on the "Remove Contact" button next to their image on your Contacts page.

Elsewhere? Huh?

This is a key tool that helps you expose yourself more as a Super Deluxe artist. In the "Elsewhere" section, you can list up to five links of other websites you've created, belong to, participate in, or merely enjoy, all for the sake of getting your name out there as much as possible. Simply input what you'd like to call your site, like "My Blog" and a valid URL, like "http://www.example.com" (but without the quotation marks), and hit Save. Feel free to edit these whenever the wind blows.

Want to change your display name?

You gotta email your Super Deluxe contact first. Why? Because you're special, and we want to make sure we promote your stuff the best we can.

Want to change the graphical image that represents you/yous guys?

Again, you gotta get in touch with your Super Deluxe contact first, o.k.?

What's "About me?"

Well, for starters, it's about you. And it's a paragraph of descriptive text crafted by you. And remember, you're an artist, so you're going to have "fans" who'll want to know all about you. So, give 'em what they want. The entire Super Deluxe community will also be able to read it. To edit your "About Me," just click the "Edit About Me" link while logged on and looking at your profile.

What's a tagline?

It is the pure crystallization in language form of your very existence. Or it's just the cheeky little phrase that sums you up for the rest of the site to see. As an artist, we'll use your tagline to promote you in other areas around the site, so put some amount of thought into it. To edit it, just click the "Edit Tagline" link while logged on and looking at your profile.

What's up with this Uploads thing?

Here's a wacky idea: we want you artists to upload other videos besides the ones you've produced exclusively for Super Deluxe. You know, extra footage, behind-the-scenes stuff, or one-offs you think your fans will appreciate. Just make sure to title, tag and describe your videos well because they'll appear in search results linking users back to you. "Mature" content is fine by us -- just make sure you label it so. And don't upload stuff you don't own. Any other concerns about uploading can be answered here.
